map to sigma's observing site

Sigma has acquired a permanent observing site thanks to the co-operation of the directors of Highland Gliding Club.

The site has excellent low horizons to the east, south and west, not quite so good to the north but this means that it is well shielded from any sky glow from the lights of Elgin.

Club telescopes are available and the bothy is open for viewing, for Sigma members, every Friday and Saturday night from 7.30pm, during the darker months (clear skies permitting!). Please contact Bill Leslie, Pete Sherman or Alan Tough for further information.

Our monthly meetings are held in Birnie Village Hall which is situated in Thomshill near the Distillery.
