Rent an Astronomer from Sigma

Thanks to a Lottery Awards for All Grant in 2005, Sigma was able to purchase various pieces of equipment, including a laptop, projector and display boards. This means that Sigma is able to take part in outside events. These can vary from local fetes or fundays, to having a Sigma member give a talk to a local group or school.

As well as the events listed on our Rent an Astronomer and Public Events page, Sigma has also vivsited: Anderson’s Primary School, Seafield Primary School, Kinloss Primary School, Speyside High School Science Club, Historic Wheels Club in Forres, Cromarty Astronomy Night Class, Moray Physics teachers Grampian Section, Association for Science Education, National Science Week at Horizon Scotland, Dark Sky Scotland, St Giles Men’s Association, Highlands Astronomical Society, Strathbogie Field Club in Huntly as well as Going Nova, Moray Science Festival, Moray Expo and the Birnie Village Hall Spring Fete.

As you can see, we are a very active club, but will always find time to do that little bit more!
